Cardamon buttery shortbread biscuits that are so easy to make with very little ingredients!
Ingredients
- 150gm self raising flour
- 75gm golden caster sugar
- 2 tsp ground WHOLE Cardamon - grind in FinaPod GT
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 75gm salted cold cubed butter
- 1 egg whisked (use up to 2 tbsp)
Instructions
- Combine flour and rub in cold cubed butter into it until it resembles a bread crumb-like texture.
- Add in the sugar, FinaMill ground Cardamon, ground ginger and slowly incorporate the whisked eggs 1 tbsp at a time. You only just want to form a rough dough, so be careful not to use all of the egg. Do NOT OVERWORK DOUGH. Wrap in cling film and place in fridge to chill for at least 1/2 hour.
- Preheat oven to 180c. Roll out dough into 4mm thickness and cut out any shape you like. I like to place back in the fridge to chill before I bake, but you don’t need to.
- Bake in oven for about 8-10 minutes or until just golden. Allow to cool completely before storing in airtight containers. They make great gifts too! YUMMMMMOOOOO!
